Season 2 | Episode 21: NiNA tHE SQUiRREL

Pipì, Pupù & Rosemary

Nature/Animation, Italy 2007

Today Pipì, Pupù and Rosmary are going to a place in the middle of the woods where they have been told they will meet Mapà but, upon arrival, they only find a little squirrel nervously pacing up and down a tree trunk; the squirrel, they learn, is expecting the birth of her first daughter, Nina. As soon as she’s born, the baby squirrel proves very awake and lively, and starts to chase across the forest, followed by her parents and our three little friends who are worried she may hurt herself or run into some ill-intentioned beasts. But all this care on the part of the adults proves unnecessary for Nina, thanks to her tender age, becomes the entire forest’s center of attention and all the animals, hyenas included, have only her complete well-being at heart. And thus, at the end of an exhausting day during which Pipì, Pupù and Rosmary have raced up and down after the little squirrel, Nina goes home with her parents, happy with all the new discoveries she’s made.
