Accused of unfair competition. Whether Polish, Romanian, Portuguese or Latvian, the "posted worker" has become the archetype of social dumping in Europe. A posted worker is a European worker who, for a limited period, performs his or her work in a member state other than the one where he or she usually works. Brandished like a scarecrow, especially after the major enlargement of the European Union in 2004, they were going to "invade our building sites" and "take the bread out of our mouths". Were these fears justified?
