Pipì, Pupù & Rosemary

Nature/Animation, Italy 2007

Pipì, Pupù and Rosmary have been walking for a whole week now in non-stop rain and they have just stopped complaining about winter when Winter itself rebukes them, addressing them in a high-pitched voice and hurling increasingly icy winds at them. After having profusely apologized to Winter for having said such nasty things against him, they continue on their journey, careful at not offending him again. At a certain point they meet an anteater with the flu, stretched out under a tree. After they have asked him if a doctor has been alerted, they hear a voice coming from the anteater’s throat and they realize it’s the voice of a microbe. The little parasites lament the fact that it is their destiny to always be pursued and destroyed and, after a brief exchange with our three friends, they attack them to show them who they’re up against. Once the doctor has arrived, however, the microbes prepare to go back to the anteater’s body and Pipì, Pupù and Rosmary suggest to the doctor to fight the microbes by fattening them up with some milkshake, so that they’ll leave the anteater’s body alone because they’ll be too fat to enter it again. The doctor thinks this is an excellent idea and the plan works to perfection: the microbes come out, tempted by the milkshake, and after they have feasted on it their bellies are too round and they too fat to enter their ‘home’ again. The doctor graciously invites them to come and get well again in his weight-loss clinic.
